Shirley J. Anderson

POLSON — Shirley J. Anderson, 63, of Polson died of natural causes May 17, 2006, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

She was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Missoula to Anfin and Anna Anderson. She graduated from Missoula County High School and attended the University of Montana.

Shirley was married to Richard Plunkett in 1965, moved to Gillette, Wyo., and raised two daughters. In her later years, she returned to Montana. She was a member of the New Life Christian Center in Polson. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, collecting antiques, golf and her family.

She was a beloved mother, sister and friend. We will miss her greatly and cherish the time we had together. May she now be free and find comfort and peace.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Orvald and Gene Anderson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Roxanne (Scott) Suhr and Angela (Steve) Bruns; five grandchildren, Nicole, Bradie and Jenna Suhr and Brian and Brandon Bruns; four brothers, Edwin, Reinard, Robert and Leroy Anderson; two sisters, Juanita Anderson and Beverly Harding.

A memorial service was held on May 22 at the New Life Christian Center in Polson with Pastor Shawn Madsen officiating. The family suggests memorials may be made in Shirley's name to the New Life Christian Center, 1414 2nd Street West, Polson, MT 59860.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction and care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory, Missoula.
