Vick has had PSC experience

Editor,

Republicans primary voters in the counties that comprise Public Service Commission District 5 have a unique opportunity on June 6. Of the five candidates that filed with the Secretary of State, Steve Vick is the only candidate who has had real time experience working at the PSC.

During that time Vick worked closely with professional staff and the commissioners performing all duties efficiently and effectively, garnering the respect of all. As interim Utility Division Administrator Vick gained valuable knowledge and experience with issues of telecommunications and power supply to Montana.

Steve Vick served four terms in the state House of Representatives and gained great respect from all who served with him … from both parties. He is know as an objective thinker, capable of reviewing extremely detailed issues and getting to the heart of the matter at hand. This is the essence of being a Public Service Commissioner.

The commission is a "quasi-judicial" body that both administrates state law and conducts legal hearings. All decisions may be subject to court review and it is absolutely essential that commissioner be objective in making decisions. Vick has a long track record that proves his objectivity and decision-making ability.

If you are tired of media hogs that puff up at every election and you are looking for a "regular" guy who is pretty smart, knows his stuff, and can get the job done, then vote for Steve Vick.

Matt Brainard, Commissioner

PSC District 4
