Charlo girls have good showing at state

HELENA — In Class C state action, the Charlo girls capped the season off with high numbers, taking second place on Friday.
On Saturday, the girls were led by Amanda Murphy who placed first in the shot put with a throw of 39-3. In the discus, Murphy took third with 113-3.
Adri Hammond took a seat in fourth with a pole vault of 9-6.
As for the boys, the earned nine points for 12th place. Joey Ray's shot put of 49-8 was good enough for second and Brandon Rollins placed sixth in the 800 with a time of 5:05.38.
The girls kept the momentum going through Saturday and earned 24 points to tie for eighth. Hayley Carr landed in sixth with a long jump of 110-0.
Again the boys scored nine points on Saturday for 24th place.
