Patricia A. Sloan

ST. IGNATIUS — Patricia A. Sloan, 60, died Oct. 24 in St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan.

A member of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribe, she was born Jan. 15, 1946, to Maria Gress and Alvin Sloan in Walla Walla, Wash. She made her home with her mother in the St. Ignatius most of her life.

Patricia acquired Parkinson Disease but still managed to work for the Folkshop for 10 years. She enjoyed walks, riding her bike and taking her dogs for rides on her bike.

Survivors include her father, Alvin Sloan of Pablo; mother, Maria Gress of St. Ignatius; brothers and sisters, Ruth Ly Sloan of Timberlake, S.D., Clay Sloan of Pablo, Sandy Castor of St. Ignatius, Lorma Sloan of Ronan, Liberty Plouffe of Ronan, John Roy Sloan of Spokane, Vicki Delack of Helena, Caroline Derosia of Kalispell and Crystal McClure of Spokane, as well as many nieces nephews and cousins

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family asks that memorials be made in her name to Lake County Bank in St. Ignatius.
