Ace M. Woods

POLSON — Ace M. Woods. 86, of Polson died of natural causes on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Evergreen Health & Rehab Center.

He was born in Spokane to Ace E and Margaret Newlands Woods.

He attended and graduated from Missoula schools.

He was in the Army Air Corps during WW II serving in the Pacific Theater. He returned to college on the GI Bill to finish his education.

Ace worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, on the B-52 as a design engineer, and later worked on the Titan Missile program in Oklahoma; he also worked on the Gemini, and Space Shuttle program in New Orleans and on the Cruise Missiles in Michigan, where he retired.

His family operated the Ace Woods Portrait studio in Missoula for many years.

His son James K. Woods, and a daughter Gail Woods, and three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

At his request he has been cremated, and no services are planned at this time.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory.
