Lynda K. Evins

PABLO — Lynda K. Evins, 60, died in Spokane on Oct. 27, 200, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Astoria, Ore., to Edgar J. and Marian A. Clemens.

She was the second of three girls. She spent most of her life in Washington and Montana, graduating from high school in Lima in 1964. She married Walt Evins in Ronan on Dec. 15, 1965. From this union came three children, Allen, Cindy and Ben.

She lived in Pablo from the mid-1950s to two-and-a-half years ago when she moved to Spokane after being diagnosed with cancer. In Pablo she operated the Wee Care Day Care Center for many years.

Lynda is survived by her husband, Walt; daughter Cindy and fiance Shaun; sons, Allen and Ben; two sisters and their spouses, Suzanne (Joe) Garcia of Pablo, and Trudie (George) Garcia of St. Ignatius; two granddaughters, Kaneka and Alyssa, and a grandson, Jack, and several nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, she was cremated and a memorial service was held in the Baptist Church in Airway Heights, Wash., on Nov. 3.
