Willa Dean Vollmert

POST CREEK — Willa Dean Vollmert, 81, died Nov. 6, 2006, at her home on Post Creek.

Born on June 10, 1925, in Collinsville, Ala., to Caledonia Missouri Wilkes and Fletcher Deerman, she was raised in Alabama.

She married Edwin Vollmert and helped run the family dairy at Round Butte and had delivered papers for the Missoulian before retiring to Post Creek.

She is survived by her children: Stanley Vollmert of Helena, Lucy Vollmert of Post Creek, Kathleen Hanson-Adams in Oklahoma and Charlotte Yurovich in California; one granddaughter, Margo (Dana) Tryon of Charlo; a sister, Lucille in Florida, and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who do not live in the area.

She worked hard all her life and will be greatly missed.

At her request no services are planned.

Foster & Durgeloh Funeral Home of St. Ignatius assisted the family with arrangements.
