The Charlo Lady Vikings' season ended last weekend after losing twice in the Class C state volleyball tournament. They faced difficult competition, and were swept by Circle 3-0 on Thursday and fell to Park City 3-0 on Friday.

Hayley Carr led the Lady Vikings attack against Circle with nine kills and two blocks. Ma'Rya Hungerford had 19 digs and Stephanie Maughan added 14 assists, but it wasn't enough, as the Lady Vikings were overpowered 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

Charlo finished the game with eight blocks, led by Samijo Kain and Hayley Carr with two apiece. Staci Stipe led the team with two aces.

It was the same story for the Lady Vikings in the elimination game against Park City on Friday. Hayley Carr led the team with 10 kills and Amanda Murphy hammered home three aces, but Charlo was once again unable to pick up a win, losing 25-12, 25-20, 25-23. Ma'Rya Hungerford led the team with 30 digs and Stephanie Maughan added 19 assists in the effort.

Samijo Kain led the team with three of its eight blocks.

Despite the losses, the Lady Vikings ended their season with an impressive record of 20-5 and a trip to the state tournament, after losing only one match during the regular season.
