Wayne Marcus Hoelscher

POLSON—Wayne Marcus Hoelscher died on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, of non-small cell lung cancer. He was born July 3, 1945, to Marcus Frederick Hoelscher and Rocel Esther Dubberke Hoelscher in Hampton, Iowa. Both parents have preceded him in death.

He was raised on a farm outside of Iowa Falls, Iowa along with a brother, Neil, Frederick Hoelscher (Lois).

He graduated from Iowa State University in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967-1969.

He joined Cargill Incorporated and its Nutrena Feed Division in 1967 and worked there, with the exception of two years, until his death.

Wayne married Cynthia Jeane Brandt in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on May 9, 1970. They have a son, Matthew Wayne Hoelscher of Doral, Fla., and a daughter, Louise Mae Smock of Earlville, Iowa.

Matthew's wife, Andrea, is expecting twin boys in February. Louise and her husband, Dale, have two sons, Nicholas Dale and Troy Alan. Wayne is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Polson.
