Jamie A. Guardipee

ARLEE — Jamie A. Guardipee, 43, died from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Polson on Sept. 12, 2006.

Born to Dusty and Audrey Guardipee in St. Ignatius, Jamie lived in Idaho, Washington and throughout Montana, but his home and heart was always Arlee. Jamie was a concrete finisher by trade but also worked as a Montana Indian Firefighter, woodsman and carpenter.

Jamie enjoyed camping, fishing, barbecuing and hanging out with his family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to old rock especially ACDC. He loved children and was a great grandpa, dad and uncle to almost every child he met. Always respectful, he stayed in close contact with his ex-wives.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Goben; ex-wives, MaryAnn Maestas and Tammie Guardipee; children, Dustin (Brandie) of Marysville, Wash., Brendan (Jamie) of Bozeman, Angela (Yancy) and Gavin of Ronan, Stormie of Big Arm, Savannah, Cody and Gunner of Standing Rock Reservation, S.D.; daughter-n-law, Tina Morigeau of St. Ignatius; siblings, Mike (Patsy) Couture of Bellingham, Wash., Angel (Jamie) McClure of Arlee, and Aaron (Josie) Guardipee, also of Arlee; nine grandchildren and a large extended family of aunties and uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Jeanette Couture; parents, Dusty and Audrey Guardipee; siblings Martel McClure and Tammie Guardipee; and most recently, his son Travis, who died in the same accident.

Funeral services for both Jamie and his son Travis were Sept. 15 n the Arlee Community Center with burial following in the Pleasant View Cemetery in St. Ignatius.
