Myrna Boller Fogliatti

| September 20, 2006 12:00 AM

ST. IGNATIUS — Former St. Ignatius resident Myrna Boller Fogliatti was born near Glendive on Jan. 17, 1936, to John and Monica Boller.

She went to school and helped on the farm with her two brothers, Gary and Rex, until her graduation from St. Ignatius High in 1954.

Myrna attended Kinman Business College in Spokane and worked for the family of the Dean of the school while she was there. She took a job in San Francisco working for the telephone company and stayed at the YMCA on Geary Street where she lived with Muriel, her future sister-in-law, and met Bill Fogliatti.

Myrna had a lot of fun during her "single days" in San Francisco and always enjoyed going back to the city to show her family and friends her favorite restaurants and locations. Myrna and Bill were married in the Catholic Church in St. Ignatius in October 1961.

They lived primarily in the small town of El Sobrante, near San Francisco, where they raised their three children: Pamela, David and Christopher.

Myrna worked in real estate before the children, but always kept up with the business while raising the kids, too. She was dedicated to the Catholic Church and kept her family and friends always in her prayers.

Myrna loved to travel abroad and hike around all the local trails.

She had a love for the outdoors, cooking, eating and enjoying a glass of wine in good company. Myrna was a health-conscious person and influenced people around her to eat healthy and exercise. The news of her cancer came as a surprise and shock. She was strong until the end and wanted other people to be happy.

Her belief in God led her to a peaceful end in this world on Aug. 30, 2006.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Bill; daughter Pam and husband Mark and her two granddaughters Marissa and Jordan Maddox; son David and wife Holly and grandson "Little" Joey; son Christopher; brothers Gary and Rex and his wife Susan.

Memorial interment services by Father Drew Maddock will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius.

Myrna's family has requested that donations be made to the lung cancer research foundation at Joan's Legacy, 27 Union Square West, #304 New York, NY 10003.
