The Bulldogs defeated Plains last week, 22-6, for their first victory this year, and are looking for win number two in Troy on Friday.

"We executed better in offense and defense. We were able to move the football and get it to the end zone," said head coach Tom Peterson said. "I was happy with the score. It was great to have the ball in the end zone."

In the first quarter, Jordan Rohrich scored the 'Dogs first touch down of the game with an 11-yard run. Rohrich continued to drive the ball and score again with an eight-yard run.

The game featured some big plays, too, Peterson said.

"Aaron Trudeau had an 85-yard punt back for the touch down," Peterson said.

Everything finally clicked for the Bulldogs and in the fourth quarter they picked up another touchdown.

Lucas McDonald took the ball for a four-yard run to score the final touchdown, and Trudeau picked up a pass from Casey Cable to score the conversion points.

"The line came together. The running backs hit the holes and they kept their feet moving. They executed better then they have all year," Peterson commented.

The Bulldogs travel to Troy on Friday.

"We've been turning the ball over a lot this season. If we don't turn it over and we continue to execute we'll do OK," he said.
