Veteran Joe Felsman will be missed

| September 28, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

St. Ignatius lost another great veteran and patriot last week with the passing of Joe Felsman. Joe was a man who heard the call and went on to serve his country for 16 years as a corpsman in the Navy, and we all know how important a corpsman is to the troops.

Joe then got involved with the VFW, and the Mission Valley Honor Guard.

Joe and the Honor Guard have been presenting the colors with honor and dignity for years around the valley and state as well as presenting military honors to our passing veterans.

With Joe calling cadence and serving as chaplain to the Honor Guard, it always left a lump in your throat and pride in your heart for our nation and for our veterans. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Lois and their family at this time.

There are not enough words to express thanks to these veterans who just keep on serving year after year, their whole life. Semper fi. God bless you,

S.K.I.P. (Show Kindness in Packages)
