Doug Brown
POLSON — Doug Brown, 67, of Big Arm, died at his home on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007.
Doug was born on July 25, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., to Harry and Esther Brown. He grew up and attended schools in St. Louis. He graduated form high school at Jennings High School in St. Louis and attended college at North Texas State.
Doug married Florence Maurer on Sept. 13, 1972, in St. Louis County. Doug worked most of his career as computer operator with the federal government.
He and Florence moved to the Polson area in 1996 and shortly thereafter bought their place in Big Arm. Doug liked leather crafting and especially enjoyed his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Florence of Big Arm and four children: Kirk Brown of Big Arm, Bradley Ray of Port Orchard, Wash., Susan Ray-Badger of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and David Ray of Pevely, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and a brother, Ron Brown of Texas.
No services are planned and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter.
