| February 8, 2007 12:00 AM

POLSON — Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday morning at 5:30, Jan. 28, 2007, after a long illness, at the age of 86.

Edna was born July 3, 1920, in Los Angeles to Eric and Eliza (Chandler) Peterson of Anaconda and Potomac. She married Bud Freeman in Lawndale, Calif., on July 2, 1937. They were blessed with seven little darlings — Shirley Tucker Allen (Jack) of Proctor, Lonna Johnson (John) of Elko, Nevada, Dick Freeman (Cathy) of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif., Bonnie Smith (Harold) of Ronan, Ron Freeman (Florence) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Don Freeman of Ronan; 42 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Bud passed away in 1980.

Edna and Willy Dickson of Polson were married when she was 80 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Eric, Calvin and Paul; her youngest daughter, Barbara Jean Spurgin of Oklahoma; and her husbands, Bud Freeman and Willy Dickson. She also leaves behind her close friend and sister, Mildred Bobbitt (Don) of Missoula; her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Nancy Peterson of Columbia Falls, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna will be remembered for her sense of humor, beautiful flowers, her love for the Lord, and her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling so much that some of her grandchildren called her “Grandma Go Go.”

She will be greatly missed but we know she’s in a far greater place and she’ll be waiting for us beyond the sunset. We love you, Mom.

Funeral services were held Jan. 31 in the First Baptist Church in Polson. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Polson. Shrider-Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services of Ronan assisted with the arrangements.
