Edward G. (Fox) Patrick

POLSON — Edward G. (Fox) Patrick, 85, of Polson died on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Evergreen Health & Rehab. Center from natural causes. He was born at home on June 25, 1921, in Missoula, to Emily Michel and George Patrick. He was the oldest of five children.

He was educated in Western Montana. He liked people, horses, dogs, rodeos, powwows, coffee and peanut butter cookies.

Edward served in the US Army in the South Pacific during World War II and received the Bronze Star for heroism under fire.

He was preceded in death by his mother Emily and father George Patrick; his brother Hubert Patrick; his beloved sister Georgine Patrick Armijo; brother Robert "Butch" Dempsey, and his only son, Edward "Poochie" Patrick.

He is survived by his brother James (Susie) Dempsey of Spokane; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He had many friends, touched the hearts of many people and his door was never closed to anyone. He will be missed.

Graveside services with military honors was held on Jan. 2 in the Lakeview Cemetery with Father Jim Connor officiating.

Grogan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
