| January 10, 2007 12:00 AM

ST. IGNATIUS — Moses Little John Thunder Whitegrass, 2, joined his grandfather on Jan. 2, 2007, when he was called home, the result of an auto accident near Perma.

Moses was born in Missoula on Jan. 13, 2005, to Jessica Conko and Julius "Bubba" Whitegrass. He returned home to live with his older brother Deon in Mission.

An adventurous continual ball of energy, he was always bouncing around, jumping and running whether it was with his dogs Chief and Kita or tormenting Grandma's dog Breeze. He was a happy child. Moses enjoyed helping his Grandpa fix things. He loved Elmo, "The Bear" movie and had even mastered the growl.

Over the last year he had discovered how much fun he could have in the bath tub. Some of his favorite things were string cheese, peaches and cucumbers.

He loved to play his mother's wooden flute.

He was the light and joy of his family and will be missed immensely.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Smokey Whitegrass (12-12-06), and many yayas, Tupyes and Kenas from the Matt, Conko and Whitegrass families including Margaret Finley, Louise Adams Conko, Margaret Conko Friedlander and Jeanette Conko.

Survivors include his parents, Jessica Conko and Julius "Bubba" Whitegrass of St. Ignatius; his brother Deon; maternal grandparents, John Conko and Linda Merchant of St. Ignatius; paternal grandmother Judy Matt of WA; great-grandfather Clarence Whitegrass; his aunts and nunus, Jennifer Merchant and son Isaiah Davis, TJ Conko and family, Chad Conko and family, Nevada (Jane) Merchant, Waco (Melissa) Merchant and son Dakota, Travis (Tessa) Whitegrass and extended family, Millie Camel, Helen Hendrickx, Eneas Conko and Harold Paul, Lance Friedlander and family, Casey and Jennifer Friedlander and family, Jackie McDonald, Randi Gariepy, Raelynn Charlo, Margaret Corral, Rose Corral, Roslyn Henry, Clifford and Tonya Whitegrass, Michael Assinaboine, Vinny Shepard, Gabe Shepard, Calvin Shepard, Brendan (Jamie Piapot) Adams and Nate CutFinger and numerous family friends and loved ones.
