Fire chief says thanks for the support
Editor,
I would like to take this time to say “thank you” to the many individuals, groups, the firefighters of the Polson Fire Department, and the administration of the City of Polson and Polson Rural Fire District for their support over the past eight years. While leaving has been a very difficult decision, I firmly believe that I am leaving the Polson Fire Department better than I found it.
Over the past eight years, I have had the privilege to work with some awesome men and women who had their heart in the right place and focused to make Polson a better place to live. While growth is never easy, we have made this community stronger because of our teamwork and unity.
As I move to the next chapter in my career, I would like to say thank you to:
? The firefighters of Polson who are truly special in their commitment.
? The firefighters of the Ronan Fire Department who have trained and fought fire with us and forged such a close knit relationship between two neighboring departments.
? The Finley Point Fire Department firefighters who have been there whenever they were asked, I can only say thank you for your support and commitment to making our little part of Lake County safer.
? The Polson Police Department, for all the fine law enforcement work and assistance when we really needed it.
? Chief Chase for the quality humor and support when I needed it.
? Polson Ambulance who has given endless hours to make our firefighters safer and to all of the other emergency services organizations who have always been there to help when we needed it.
? All of our business supporters who never have said “no” to us when we asked. Without your support, some of our projects would have never been completed.
Finally, an extra special thank you to my family, Kim, Caitlin, Megan, and Brianna, for supporting me through the events that totally disrupted our family time and endless nights away from home. You will never know how much I truly appreciate your understanding and devotion.
In closing, this is not a good-bye but the opening of a chapter to new beginnings. I would once again like to thank the Polson Community for your support as we all did make a difference.
