Jerry Dale Handy
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Jerry Dale Handy, 59, died in Polson on April 8, 2008,
He was born to Annie Buck Handy and Herman M. Handy on May 11, 1948, in Idaho Falls. He started grade school in Idaho Falls at the St. Leon School. The family moved to St. Ignatius in 1957. Jerry graduated from eighth grade from the Catholic school in St. Ignatius. During this time of his life, working on his parents' farm brought him great joy.
In 1975, the family moved to Ronan and he started working at the Folk Shop. Jerry took a lot of pleasure and pride in going to work every day and was very committed to his job. Following his mother's death in 1998, he moved to Polson and began working for Mission Mountain Enterprises, where he worked until the time of his death.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his brother, Herman (Wanda) Handy of Idaho Falls; a sister, Gladys (Gordon) Martinell of Dell, and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a happy person and enjoyed people. He had several friends, many of whom watched over him and cared a great deal about him.
Graveside services were April 12 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
Aurise Marie Dellwo Leishman
WENATCHEE, Wash. - Aurise Marie Dellwo Leishman died March 28, 2008, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born May 11, 1923, to Nicholas and Regina (Trahan) Dellwo in Ronan, where she attended schools and graduated from Ronan High School. She married Boyd Leishman May 24, 1941, in Ronan and moved to Seattle in 1949, so Boyd could attend barber school.
In 1953, Aurise and Boyd moved their family to East Wenatchee where she worked in the fruit industry for 25 years, retiring from Wells and Wade in 1988.
Her pride and joy was her family and preparing big dinners for them. Aurise had a great love for music. As a young girl, she would play the piano for dances in her family home. Her hobby was her yard and garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd, and seven siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Al (Sue) Leishman of East Wenatchee, Nick (Sandy) Leishman of Wenatchee, Kenny (Cindy) Leishman of East Wenatchee and Dave (Marilyn) Leishman of East Wenatchee; her brother, Luke (Opal) Dellwo of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and her sister, Dorothy (Eldon) Long of Missoula; and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services held on April 4, 2008, at Jones & Jones - Betts Funeral Home. Concluding Services and Interment were held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Donations may be given to a charity of donor's choice.
Marian Tyro Seines
RONAN - Marian Tyro Seines was born in Plains on Nov. 1914, to F.M. and Ida Lewellen. She graduated from Plains High School, earning a scholarship to the University of Montana. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education from UM in 1936.
She married Frank Tyro of Dillon, a civil engineer. Being with the government service, they moved many times, but resided in St. Ignatius eight years before his death in 1952. Marian started a kindergarten in her St. Ignatius home.
On Oct. 22, 1953, she married Hilbert Seines and they moved to the Seines ranch in Round Butte the following spring.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Hilbert Seines; daughter Denise Fyant (Floyd Nicolai), Bonnie Tyro, Frank (Lori Lambert) Tyro; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great- grandchildren.
Her parents, F.M. and Ida Lewellen, and her brother, Jack Lewellen of Plains, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke Extended Care, the Mission Valley United Methodist Church or the Round Butte Women's Club.
Memorial services were Monday at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church on the top of Post Creek Hill.
Shrider-Thompson Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Iris Hawkins
RONAN - Iris Hawkins, 95, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at St. Luke Community Nursing Home in Ronan. She is survived by a son, Delbert Hawkins and wife Rita of Dayton, and a daughter, Cleora Paro and husband John of Michigan.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m., in the Johnson-Gloschat Chapel in Kalispell with burial to follow in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is today (Thursday, April 17), from 4 to 6 p.m. at the same location with the family present to greet friends.

Gerry Weivoda
PABLO - A celebration of life for Gerry B. Weivoda, 71, of Pablo, who died of natural causes on Jan. 7, 2008, at her home, will be held on Friday, April 25,at 11 a.m. in the Pablo Christian Church with the Rev. Dewey Obenchain officiating.
Cremation was under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home.
A reception will follow the services at the Pablo Christian Church.
