Persha, Margret K.
Margret K. Persha, 90, passed away in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho on Dec. 9. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. on Feb. 24, 1918. She was the daughter of Frank and Emma Walsh.
She attended schools through the 12th grade in Kansas City and subsequently attended and graduated in 1939 from St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, Ind. with a degree in art and an emphasis in fashion design.
She joined her parents who had moved to Shelby after her graduation. It was there that she met and married her husband, Joseph S. Persha, a teacher, on Aug. 26, 1940. They were the parents of three children, James S. Persha, Brian J. Persha and Jan T. Persha.
During their married life, they lived in Glendive, Shelby, Great Falls and Lakeside. Margret was actively involved in PTA, church groups, and volunteering as a “Pink Lady” at Columbus hospital. She was a founding member of the group that established a fundraising antique show and sale for Holy Family Catholic Church in Great Falls, which continues to this day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma, a brother, Jim Walsh and her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her three children, Jim and his wife, Ellen; Brian; and Jan and her husband, Eric Jurgensen; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mass to be held at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Kalispell at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. Burial will follow at Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell, by Grogan Funeral Home of Polson. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.groganfuneralhome.com.
Heil, Dorothy Allene
Dorothy Allene Heil, 47, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in Kalispell after a long battle with her illness. She was born on April 14, 1961, in Butte to Donald J. and Helen A. (Ashley) McMillan.
Dorothy was raised and a graduate of Columbia Falls High School. She was a very caring, loving and generous person. Down to earth, Dorothy was some what “tomboyish,” a true diamond in the rough. She enjoyed many activities including arts and crafts; nature and the outdoors; hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening and all animals and wildlife. Dorothy loved to spend time watching her son participate in athletics and she was a spirited fan and devoted mother.
Dorothy is survived by one son, JD Heil of Kalispell; parents Don and Helen McMillan of Polson; a grandson, Rylan; one sister; Deanna Lee; a niece, Leesa’ and one nephew, Nathan.
Memorial services for Dorothy were held at the First United Methodist Church in Polson at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, with Rev. Mark Calhoun officiating. Williams, Emelie Jean Brown
Emelie Jean Brown Williams, 71, of Ronan passed away on Dec. 7. Emelie was born in April of 1937 in Beach, N.D. to will and Cora Brown. She attended school in Sentinal Butte, N.D., where she graduated valedcitorian in 1955. Emelie married Leslie ray Williams on Sept. 24, 1955. They ranched outside of Sentinel Butte at Trotters. They moved to Hysham in 1962 where she worked at the telephone compnany. She was greatly involved with PTA, room mother for Cub and Boy Scouts. In 1970, the family moved to Ronan. She was a proficiet bookkeeper, working at PacRiver/Dupuis lumber mill, then Mission Mountain Enterprises and lastly, at Ronan Auto Body.
Emelie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and active in several organizations and charitable foundations.
She is survived by her children; Ted Williams (Gail Luchau), Linda Lassabe (Jim), Lila Williams and grandchildren; Whisper Caml, Eugene Morigeau and Leslie Morigeau.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Faith Lutheran Church in Ronan. The burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery. Shrider-Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services of Ronan assisted in the arrangements.
Marks, Dwayne Walter
Dwayne Walter Marks, 43, of Arlee died on Dec. 10.
He was born to Donna and David Marks on Feb. 7, 1965 in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up in the Mission and Jocko valleys. He graduated from Arlee High School. After high school he received a degree from Billings College of Technology. For the past 10 years he worked for Johnson Controls as a foreman service mechanic.
Dwayne enjoyed the outdoors. He loved his summers at the lake, fishing, boating and enjoying his family. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers with his boys, bird hunting, and his deer and elk hunting trips to Winnett with his buddies.
Dwayne married Rachel Martin on April 7, 1994. They had three sons, Darren, 11, Derek, 9 and Dalton, 8. Rachel died on August 2, 2006. Dwayne was a great father who would do anything for his boys and Daylon Martin.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife Rachel and his grandparents Lawrence and Edith Decker and George and Irene Marks.
Dwayne was survived by his sons, Darren, Derek and Dalton; his parents David and Donna Marks; sister Debbie (John) O’Neill and children Kendall and Eli; sister Deanne (Casey) Smith and children Shelby and Bridger; sister-in-law Cindy Martin and child Daylon; brother-in-law Ron (Candi) Martin, children Wayne, Sonia, Nakita, Kirby and Natalliya all of Arlee; sister-in-law Adele Martin and children Zach, Alisha, Su-Sep (Tiara) and great-nephew Sn-Paq-Sin of Post Creek; special niece/cousin Sara McClure of St. Ignatius and numerous other children that he loved as well as his four legged son Dakota.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in the St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Following the Mass he will be laid to rest beside his wife in St. Ignatius. A reception will follow the services in St. Ignatius at the Community Center in Arlee.
Honorary Pallbearers are Luke O’Neill, Hans Marks, Jeff Keller, Chuck Christensen, John Miller, Dean Duffy and Doug Bond.
His love of life and caring personality touched many people. He will be deeply missed.

Dubiel, Jerome Scott
Jerome Scott Dubiel, 24, of Ronan passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13 from an accident on US Highway 35.
Jerome was born on Jan. 10, 1984 in Landstuhl, Germany to Kenneth and Arlene (Ackerman) Dubiel. He grew up and attended schools in Lancaster, Calif. and in Ronan. He attended Ronan High School. After high school, Jerome started working as a mason. He was presently working, as a mason for K and D Inc. in Bigfork.
Jerome married Keevy Coleman on Nov. 10, 2006, in Ronan.
Jerome enjoyed skateboarding, playing video games, hiking, swimming and camping. His greatest love and enjoyment was spending time with his children and family.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Hunter and his great-grandmother Mary Willis.
He is survived by his wife Keevy of Ronan, children Isabella and Cashel, of Ronan, his father Kenneth (Kathy) Dubiel of Lancaster, Calif., his mother Arlene Ackermann of Ronan, brothers Adam Dubiel of Ronan, Brent and Kyle Dubiel both of Post Falls, Idaho, and Thomas Payne of Ronan, sister; Tiar Lively of Ronan and step-sister Christy McGuffin of Lancaster, Calif., and his grandparents Ruth and Hank Dubiel of Dallas, Texas, Al and Kathy Ackermann of Ronan, and Kurt Hunter of Llano, Calif.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 in the Grogan Funeral Home. A vigil service was held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jim Connor officiating. Sederstrom, Selma
Services for Selma Sederstrom will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Lonepine hall near Hot Springs. Burial will follow at Conrad Memorial cemetry in Kalispell.
