| February 14, 2008 12:00 AM

Paddy R. Snyder of Moiese died at St. Luke Extended Care in Ronan on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008.

Paddy was born in Sheridan, Wyo., on Nov. 14, 1923, to Owen and Lila Verley. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1941. Paddy married Roy G. Snyder on Dec. 14, 1941. They moved to DeBorgia in 1947 where they ranched and worked at the Savenac Nursery.

They were involved in ranching in Avon and Helena. In 1968 they purchased a ranch in the Moiese Valley where they operated the Moiese Performance Center for 15 years. Paddy was a full partner in the operation doing everything from keeping the books to feeding and doctoring the bulls. They also raised registered Hereford cattle and registered quarter horses.

Paddy took special pride in her garden of over 100 roses, some of which were moved from Helena and are over 40 years old. Each morning she and Roy picked a "rose of the day." Perhaps her favorite was Tiffany, a pink beauty. She lives on in her rose bushes, which her family hopes to share with her friends in the spring.

Paddy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend. She lived life with great energy and determination. Paddy made the best of every situation. She was most generous with smiles and laughter. Paddy will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Lazy Mountain Bible Church. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Palmer Elks Lodge on Finger Lake.

Jason was born Jan. 4, 1974, in Polson. He was raised in Palmer where he played football, was a state champion discus thrower and runner-up in shot put. He graduated from Palmer High School, class of 1992.

He worked for the Department of Transportation as a Highway Construction Engineering Technician. He had worked for the State for nine years. Jason, or "Mojo" as his friends called him, loved the outdoors.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed snowmachining and spending time at the cabin in Copper Center.

He enjoyed berry picking and hunting for morel mushrooms to garnish the gourmet meals he created. On a frigid February day he could often be found ice fishing on Lake Louise.

He had an unbelievable memory for minute details. His quick wit and clever comebacks were amusing and enduring.

Although a man of great stature, he was tender-hearted, thoughtful and generous. He had a special place in his heart for animals, even the scraggly cat he fed on his deck.

His family recalls him always clad in Carhartts. Jason was a trend setter. He was wearing-out Carhartts before they became popular. Jason is survived by his parents Bob and Donna Morigeau of Palmer; brothers and sister-in-law, Joshua and Jeanne Morigeau of Helena, and Justin Morigeau of Palmer; niece Hannah; grandmothers Jo An Lynn of Polson, and Diane "Grandma Turkey" Morigeau of Yakima, Wash.; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a multitude of friends close enough to be family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert E. Lynn and Ben Morigeau; and grandmother Harriet Higbie Lynn, all of Polson.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Kehl's mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
