GENERAL
Birds of a feather camp
There are a few spaces open for the 6-day Summer Outdoor Adventure for girls, July 7-12, 2008. Girls, ages 11 to 14, will increase their self-confidence, hone their individual leadership skills and cultivate their appreciation for the natural world, while learning outdoor skills such as backpacking, canoeing, and orienteering.
The camp is sponsored by DOVES, who contracts with the GUTS! (Girls Using Their Strengths) girls' leadership program of the YWCA Missoula to facilitate the Outdoor Adventure, which will take place this year in the Arlee area.
The Birds of a Feather and GUTS! programs aim to create relationships and experiences that enable girls to identify and use their own unique inner talents and strengths to make positive change happen within themselves, in their communities, and in the world. The Birds of a Feather after-school programs are based on the GUTS! model.
Apply for your adventure in self-discovery today! To receive an application or for more information, call Heidi at 883-3350, or Katie at 676-0800.
