Lake County ballers net all-state honors

The good news is that four basketball players from various schools around Lake County were named to the all-state teams in their respective classes. The better news is that all four — three girls and a boy — will return to play next season.
Arlee sophomore Jordan Pfau grabbed her second all-state selection after the Scarlets dropped from Class B to Class C this season. Last season, Pfau was the only freshman in the state to be named all-state in any class. She also made the District 13-C All-Conference first-team. Pfau led her team in scoring and rebounding as they made a valiant run at the district tournament in Missoula.
Charlo's sophomore post Stephanie Murphy joined Pfau on the Western C All-State team. Murphy was also named to District 14-C's All-Conference first team and led her team in scoring on their way to divisionals in Butte.
Mission junior Mattea Grant was the only player in the county to make a Class B all-state team. She was also named to District 8-B's All-Conference first-team and her team to their divisional tournament in Hamilton.
Two Eagle River junior Kyle Stensgar was the only boys' player from Lake County to garner an all-state selection. He ran the show from the point guard position for the Eagles and was named to the District 14-C All-Conference first-team. Stensgar led his team in scoring and guided them to the divisional tournament in Butte.
