Times you'd like to eat out tells your age
By Paul Fugleberg
Once again, my friends George and Helen Thomas in Seattle sent another of those weird numbers games. It's how you can tell your age by how many times a week you would like to eat out.
Not how many times you actually eat out, but how many you would LIKE to eat out. So grab your handheld computer and see what you come up with. In my case, it was right on.
No fair scrolling down. Don't read the bottom line until you've worked out the formula.
1. Pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat. It has to be more than one but less than 10.
2. Multiply this number by 2.
3. Add 5.
4. Multiply it by 50.
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758. If you haven't had your birthday yet, add 1757.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number.
The first digit of this number will be your original number (of times you said you would like to eat out in a week). The next two numbers are your age! You may not want to admit it, so you don't have to show anyone. But you'll know!
George and Helen say that the year 2008 is the only year it will ever work. So don't wait until Dec. 31 to work this name game.
