Double Thank You

Our club has two very distinct thank you messages to express. The Ronan and Polson communities and those individuals who have an understanding about the importance of our role continue to give us confidence and support in providing our club members a safe place to go after school.

Oct. 30 and 31 were scheduled as fund raising days for the club. That only happened because of the determination and good will of several volunteers who want to help the club stay open. Their efforts raised nearly $900 for our operational funds. Our thanks are extended to Sharla Talsma and Shelly Cordis and their "host of ghosts" at the Haunted House. Also, Jamie Fuchs and her helpers from the Polson Womens Club provided refreshments and handled the admissions. Ronan Telephone Company, as always, let us use their facility for the event and Rainbow Septic Service set up a portable restroom. To those volunteers we say thank you.

Secondly the club held a phone-a-thon on two different evenings, Oct. 15 and Nov. 5. With a small number of volunteer board members and several community volunteers we were able to raise about $4,000. Needless to say, we were very gratified by the positive response we received from our donors and new acquaintances. Though the connections we made were verbal, the information and feedback we received was heartfelt and appreciated.
