Veterans honored at ceremonial annual powwow
The Veterans Warrior Society sponsored the 16th Annual Veteran Warrior Society Powwow over the weekend, highlighting contributions and recognizing the efforts on behalf of veterans by special guest Octave Finley and Tribal Veteran Representatives Lloyd Jackson, WJ "Buck" Richardson, Bill Rogers and Lawerence Kenmille.
Supported by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe, Kicking Horse Job Corps and various community businesses, the event featured raffles, a number of dance and drum competitions for youth and adults, and several special presentations, prayers and honorings.
