Pritchard, Irene Valeda

Irene Valeda (Louise) Pritchard passed away on Thursday afternoon, July 31, 2008

at South Lyon Medical Center/LTC in Yerington, Nevada. She was 84.

Louise was born in Wenatchee Washington on March 28, 1924 the daughter of Pastor

Nathan D. Swabb and Edna Valeda (Hoxie).

She worked as a research bookkeeper/auditor for many years. She especially liked working for the U.S. Navy auditing balance sheets, and researching all the figures for accuracy.

Louise moved from Red Bluff, California to Yerington, Nevada in 1991. One of the main reasons she moved to Yerington was the Senior Center. She said she had been made to feel welcome. She was active at the center and had many friends there.

Louise is survived by three daughters and one son; Phyllis (Richard) of Reno,

Nevada,; Rev. Valeda (Rev. Wayne) of Polson, Montana; Tony (Elaine) of Billings, Montana; and Kathy of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grand-children; and fifteen great grand-children with one great, great grand-child on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Robert J. Pritchard, Jr. U.S.M.C. Retired, her parents and grand parents, a brother, Charles Swabb, and a daughter Elizabeth Pritchard.

Cremation was under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, Nevada. There will be private services at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to either a charity of one's choice or an animal shelter in keeping with her love for animals.
