Dec. 31

Thief stole Christmas joy

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and disgust with the individual or individuals responsible for taking the baby Jesus from my nativity, on 7th Ave., next to Health Care Plus. On Monday, Dec. 21, our lights were also stolen.

This is our first year in Polson, but the ninth year that we’ve put on a large scale light display. It takes us a full day to put out the lights, yet we do it because we love it, and they are loved by so many other people. We have had many people comment on how much they enjoy our lights, yet some thief felt the need to steal ours and others’ joy.

My three children were incredibly disappointed by the senseless act of thievery by whoever stole our lights. Our two boys finally joined our family this past June, after a two year adoption process. This is our first Christmas together, yet someone felt the need to steal from children who owned absolutely nothing six months ago.

I’ve already begun looking for a replacement for the nativity, but because the blow mold decorations are not being made anymore, a replacement is difficult to locate and expensive. I ask that whoever stole my baby Jesus, be touched with the Christmas spirit, and right the wrong that they have created by returning my decoration to my house.

Vandalism random, inappropriate

This past weekend, after visiting my husband in ICU in Kalispell, I came home to find that my home and several others in the area had been egged.

I don’t think it was something I did, so you must have been having a very bad day, or were very bored.

At any rate, it was childish and immature behavior. While I clean up after your malicious actions, I hope you have a happy holiday.
