-ARLEE SCARLETS-

MISSOULA — On Wednesday, the Arlee girls lost a close one to Victor in the first round of the District 13-C tourney in Missoula. The 66-55 loss  put the Scarlets one loss away from end of their season. The Scarlets play the loser between Alberton or Philipsburg, who play each other on Thursday night.

To give themselves a shot at divisionals, the Scarlets will have to win that game. The Scarlets second game is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in Missoula.

Against Victor, freshman Kenzi Bradshaw scored 14 and junior Chelsea Allaire scored 12 to lead the team.

-MISSION BULLDOGS-

EUREKA — At Eureka on Tuesday, the Mission boys basketball team attempted to win a play-in game at Eureka to keep its season alive and give the Bulldogs, much improved of late, a shot at the district tournament. As it turned out, the Lions took it down 47-40, and Mission will have to wait another year for a chance at glory.

More details will later be available online at Leaderadvertiser.com or in next week’s edition of the Leader.

-COLLEGE RECRUITING UPDATE-

RONAN — Ronan senior Mike Fisher signed a letter of intent to play football at Dickinson State University on Tuesday. Fisher was the quarterback for the Chiefs this past season and said he will be looking to continue playing that position in college.
