Maidens practice hard for opponent

RONAN — Ronan’s volleyball team knew what was coming. They saw it on the schedule and talked about it in practice.

The Maidens faced rival Polson last Thursday and lost in three sets 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.

“We knew it was coming, we just had to prepare better” Ronan’s sophomore outside hitter Payge Delaurenti said after the game. “We practiced for it, but we weren’t ready.”

Delautrenti and senior libero Mackenzie Middleton each finished with two digs.

Practice will be import for the Maidens as they face Libby on Saturday as part of their homecoming festivities.

“We need to fix little errors, like passing and covering,” Delautrenti said.
