Golf tourney set

The First Annual Tana Bockman Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on May 21 at the Mission Mountain Country club in Ronan. As has previously been the case with Golf for Griz tournaments, area golfers will be able to play with University of Montana Grizzly coaches and staff while raising funds for Grizzly athletic scholarships.

The 18-hole tourney is sponsored by the Mission Mountain Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association (GSA). It will be a four-member co-ed scramble. A shotgun start will kick off the action at 11 a.m. Griz coaches and staff will golf with participants on a rotating schedule.

The tournament will be followed by a pig roast barbecue with Rocky Mountain oysters and all the trimmings. Prizes will be awarded during the meal. A silent auction will also be conducted.

The player fee will cover the golf, barbecue and entry for door prizes. Barbecue only tickets are available. To sign up for the tourney, call Mission Mountain Chapter GSA President Al Skogen at (406) 676-4499 or e-mail him at amskogen@ronan.net.
