Well, isn't it nice to have warmer weather again. I think that the trees and flowers have been waiting for the nice days so they can leaf out and bloom. We have several members on the "not doing so well" list, and we give each of them our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

We will be having the AARP Defensive Driving course (55 Alive) here on Wed., June 2nd. Give us a call at 676-2371 if you would like to sign up for it. This course not only helps you refresh your driving skills, but most insurance companies will give you a reduced rate after you have taken it.
If you get a phone call from "Social Security", do not give them any of the information that they are requesting. Social Security will not call or e-mail you. If they want any additional information, they will contact you by letter. It is best not to give out any information over the phone or through your computer, as there is no way to verify who is actually requesting it or what they will do with it.
We are still taking aluminum cans to recycle as a fund raiser for the Center and the Council on Aging. We have a drop-off at the back of the building where you can leave them. We really appreciate your donations, as they help both the Center and COA to supply services to area seniors.
If you need a ride to an appointment, or would like to volunteer to drive one of the Med cars, call the COA at 676-2368.
