*The following district court proceedings took place Aug. 5.
-State of Montana vs. Debbie Marry-Hawkins; 23. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of aggravated assault, Count I, a felony and assault with a weapon, Count II, a felony. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Attorney Robert Long requests the Defendant be released to attend in-patient treatment when a bed date becomes available. No objection by the State. Request granted. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Sept. 9 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Marc Friscia; 21. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of aggravated assault, Count I, burglary, Count III, felonies and partner or family member assault, Count II, and endangering welfare of children, Count IV, misdemeanors. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Aug. 19 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Justin Mark Seely; 42. The matter before the Court is sentencing. PSI has been received and reviewed. For the offense of criminal endangerment, a felony, Count I, the Court defers imposition of sentence for three years. For the offense of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, Count II, the Court sentences the Defendant to the LCJ for six months all suspended with credit for time served of 35 days. The Defendant is to wear a SCRAM bracelet until he successfully completes chemical dependency treatment however if the Defendant cannot afford SCRAM it should not be a condition for revocation.
-State of Montana vs. Kevin Kenmille; 46. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a misdemeanor. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. Parties are prepared for sentencing. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a misdemeanor, the Court sentences the Defendant to the LCJ for a term of six months all suspended but 10 days with credit for time served of two days. The Defendant has three months to complete the eight remaining days of jail time.
-State of Montana vs. Chris Grenier; 21. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent, a felony. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Sept. 9 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Julie Smith; 41. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, a felony, Count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for Sept. 8 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Pamela Butler; 44. The matter before the Court is sentencing on revocation. The Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for two years, no part of which is suspended. Defendant is to enter and complete Elkhorn Treatment Program followed by pre-release provided it meets with the approval of the DOC. Defendant is to receive credit for time while in custody. All previous conditions are re-imposed.
-State of Montana vs. Valerie Plant; 41. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony, Count I and criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, Count II. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for Sept. 8 at 9 a.m.
