Peaks and Valleys for Nov. 25
Valleys Peak Carroll College - The snow was flying as the Saints de-feated Azusa Pacific 35-21 in the first round of the NAIA football playoffs in Helena last Saturday. The five-time NAIA national champion received some help from Polson's Ted Morigeau, who plays safety and forced a fumble and a turnover late in the third quarter. Marian University will play at Carroll this Saturday at noon in Helena.
Peak Area Volleyball Players - Look no further than Lake County for all-state and all-conference volleyball players as all five schools saw their athletes receive accolade for their play this season. There was plenty of great volleyball being played this season in the area.
Peak Montana Grizzlies - Step away from the ledge Grizzly fans! Take a step back and consider this... a 7-4 season is the worst you guys have had in about two decades. 7-4! How many teams in the Big Sky Conference would welcome a 7-4 season with open arms and a box of chocolates? The snowy condi-tions and close game last Saturday only added to the legacy of the great rivalry. Can't win them all.
Peak Bigfork Football - State Champs! It's going to be World War III next year with Mission, possibly Ronan and Bigfork in the same football district next season.
Valley Montana Grizzly Uniforms - Their normal uniforms were terrible this season, but orange and black? Were they try-ing to channel the mojo of 1-10 Idaho State? Come on!
Valley Big Sky Conference Championship T-shirt pricing - Bobcat fans, forget buying a championship T-shirt unless you want to spend a half day's wage on it.
Valley Detroit Lions - Due to our deadline, I'm merely assuming the Lions will lose on Thanksgiving Day and I'm not the least bit worried about being proven wrong.
