Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place Nov. 24

-State of Montana vs. William Maus; 24. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of negligent homicide, a felony, Count II. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Defendant remains at liberty. The Court is reserving the right to the Defendant to raise oppositions to the filing of the motion to amend information. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on the amended information on Dec. 22 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Robert Sivonen; 44. The matter before the Court is sentencing on revocation. For the offense of sexual assault, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for 15 years with 10 years suspended and would recommend the Defendant be considered for treatment in an appropriate facility. Previous conditions are re-imposed.

-State of Montana vs. Jason Eversole; 41. The matter before the Court is sentencing on revocation. For the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for three years and would recommend the Defendant be considered for in-patient treatment. Previous conditions are re-imposed.

*The following justice court proceedings took place Nov. 11-24.

-Hammond, Eugene B.; 30. Driving without a valid driver’s license - expired more than 180 days. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

-Stroup, Donald R.; 48. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $300 and 10 days in jail with five days suspended. Credited for five days; credit for time served. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $250 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

-Washtak, Jennifer M.; 30. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $150.

-McCarthy, Joseph A.; 21. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $100 and 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. Criminal possession of dangerous drugs - marijuana (less than 60 grams) - first offense. Fined $100. Criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Fined $100.

-Alexander, Jessica J.; 31. Fail to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with eight days suspended. Provide proof of six months continuous insurance and jail waived.

*The following city court proceedings took place Nov. 20-26.

-Butterhof, Cindy L.; 47. Reckless driving - first offense. Fined $300 and 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.

-Boyer, Lorraine E.; 55. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $300. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and two days in jail. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance - first offense. Fined $250.
