*The following district court proceedings took place Dec. 1.
-State of Montana vs. Gregory Gonstad; 27. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charges. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for Jan 5., 2011 at 9 a.m. The Court will be lenient in a continuance in the event that a WATCH date is not available before that.
-State of Montana vs. Luke Patrick; 36. The matters before the Court are change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, in DC-10-155. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. The Court finds the admissions in DC-99-40 are sufficient and the Defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. PSI ordered. Sentencing in both matters is set for Jan. 5 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Heather McLeod; 36. The matter before the Court is sentencing. The Court defers imposition of sentence for three years on Count I and sentences the Defendant to the LCJ for six months with all that time suspended on Count II. The sentence imposed on Count II is to run consecutive to the sentence imposed in Count I.
-State of Montana vs. Tammie Guardipee; 51. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of assault with a weapon, felonies, Counts I, II and III. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for Jan. 26 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Nico Reid; 18. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, Count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for Jan. 12 at 9 a.m. Jury trial is set for Feb. 14, 2011.
-State of Montana vs. John Steele; 19. The matter before the Court is sentencing. The Court defers imposition of sentence for three years. As conditions, the Defendant is ordered to serve 30 days in the LCJ, which he has already served according to the PSI. All conditions in the pre-sentence report as amended by the Court are incorporated by reference. Defendant’s $500 cash bond is ordered exonerated and released to whoever posted it and the SCRAM bracelet is ordered removed.

-State of Montana vs. Jacob Beeks; 28. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, Count I, and driving while suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor, Count II. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Attorney Britt Cotter indicates that the Defendant’s bond was set at $5,000 with SCRAM in Justice Court and parties have agreed to an O/R with SCRAM on Dec. 20, 2010 providing the Defendant pays for SCRAM for 30 days prior to his release. O/R release is granted with the conditions set forth by the parties. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Jan 6, 2011 at 9 a.m. and jury trial is set for Feb. 7, 2011 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. William Martin; 39. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of assault on a minor, Count I, partner or family member assault, Count II and III, felonies, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Count IV and driving while is suspended or revoked, Count V, misdemeanors. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains in custody. Attorney Nicole Ducheneaux makes a motion to amend the condition of no contact with Chelsea Martin to no unwanted contact. State objects. Request denied. Ms. Ducheneaux requests to reserve the right to address the condition with a written motion and affidavit. Request granted. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Jan. 6, 2011 at 9 a.m. and jury trial for Feb. 7, 2011 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Keewyann Gardipe; 33. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Count I and II, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs, Count III, felonies. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Defendant remains at liberty. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Feb. 3, 2011 at 9 a.m. and jury trial for March 7, 2011 at 9 a.m.
