PABLO - Two Eagle will be looking for some of their younger players to step up, but they do have some talente upperclassmen that could help out their team tremendously this year, too.

"I think we have a lot of talent," head coach Clay Malatare said. "Not much height, but I think our work ethic will make up for that."

Senior TJ Cutfinger will bring speed, defense and a great shot to the wing position for the Eagles. He'll be complimented by fellow senior Trevor Butterfly whose defense and outside shot should make him a threat at the guard position.

The Eagles will have an up-tempo style of play and their younger players are ready to step up and make an impact.

Sophomore Clay Malatare Jr. understands the game well, and does a great job dishing the ball, which will be important in quick transition pushes by the Eagles. Junior transfer Marcus Brown has good size, plays great defense and is a great scorer.

"We've got to play defense and rebound," Malatare said. "We've got enough scorers in there."

Teamwork will be paramount for Two Eagle.

"We need to be learning how to play as a team, last year we didn't play like that as much," Malatare said.

Malatare said Arlee will be the team to beat. It should be interesting for Malatare to coach against the Warriors as the first-year coach lives in and has strong ties to Arlee.

A quick look at the fastpaced practice shows that the Eagles are looking to soar on the basketball court this season.

Teams had better be prepared to get into a shootout with Two Eagle.
