Mission basketball

cancer awareness

On Saturday, Feb. 6, the St. Ignatius Bulldog and Lady Bulldog basketball teams will wear pink and take on the Seeley-Swan Blackhawks. The St. Ignatius Bulldog basketball team will be doing their own version of Coaches vs. Cancer, a national program established by the American Cancer Society. As part of the night’s events, coaches will be wearing pink shirts while the Bulldog players will don pink laces, socks and even fingernails in their support of local cancer charities. A portion of the evenings gates and concessions, along with the all money raised through the 50/50 pot and half-time three-point shots, will be donated to local cancer charities. Put on your best pink outfit and support the Bulldogs in their effort to raise money in the fight against cancer.  JV Girl action starts at 2 p.m., followed by JV Boys, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys.
