Petersen, Picard take crowns

Charlo senior Jame Petersen knocks down Fergus’ Rex Martin in the semifinal round during the 2nd Annual Tournament of Champions sponsored by the law firm of Hoyt and Blewett PLLC in Great Falls. Petersen took home the crown at 145 pounds. He beat Martin 4-2 in overtime before beating Conrad’s Johnny Schlosser 2-1 in the championship.

Polson senior Brock Picard holds his 171-pound weight class trophy, next to tournament directors Anders and Drew Blewett, after taking first in the 2nd Annual Tournament of Champions sponsored by the law firm of Hoyt and Blewett PLLC in Great Falls. Picard repeated as champion after beating Libby’s Kyle Sweedman 5-4, whom Picard beat for the 2010 state title and divisional crown.
