POLSON — Police thwarted a 25-year old woman’s attempt to jump off the Armed Forces Memorial Bridge in Polson on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release, Polson police responded to the scene after receiving calls from passersby that they thought the woman may jump. Responding officers closed off the bridge as they spoke with the woman, and Polson Fire was alerted to the situation so they could activate their rescue boat.
