Ronan
With Linda Schoon: A belated happy birthday to Kathy Symington. Kathy is not yet a senior citizen, but often joins us here at the center and we are always happy to see her smiling face.
Tomorrow is our monthly birthday dinner. We would love to have you come on in and join us for a wonderful meal of roast beef and all the “fixins”. We serve at noon, but you can come and enjoy the talk and the music beforehand.
Ronan hosted the card party on July 19 with 20 people in attendance. Lunch was provided by Darlene Salomon and Marie Cowan. Ruby Mocabee had the high score, Clark Joy had the low score, Marie Cowan had the most pinochles and the door prize was won by Violet Hilfigure. In case you didn’t know, these card games are held weekly and rotate among the Centers. On the first Monday of the month, they are held at Charlo, the second Monday is at St. Ignatius, the third Monday is at Ronan, the fourth Monday is at Dixon. The next time that cards are played at Ronan is at 7 p.m. on Aug. 16.
Schedule: Monday, Aug. 2, board meeting at 10 a.m.
We also have bingo on Mondays and Friday following the noon meal, and the pool table is always ready. We have a lot of books and puzzles for you to borrow or exchange.
I guess that I forgot to add the menu last week, and for that I apologize.
Menu: Friday, July 27, roast beef; Monday, Aug. 2, soup and sandwiches; Wednesday, Aug. 4, pork chops.
Have a good week and enjoy Pioneer Days. Plan on attending the Lake County Fair and the Mission Mountain Quilt Guild’s quilt show next weekend.
