Ronan senior news
It is amazing how tired you are after returning from vacation. It takes almost a week of work to just get rested up and back into the synch of things. A big thanks to all who helped while I was off playing.
We had 105 people join us last Friday for birthday dinner, and we delivered 17 meals to home-bound seniors. If you weren't here, you missed a great meal and music.
The pinochle party was held here on the 10th of May, and with 23 people in attendance. Lunch was served by Darlene Salomon and Elda Joy. High score went to Bob Cook, low score went to Marlys Hoeldt, most pinochles went to Marie Cowen and the door prize was won by Ruth Krantz. The next card party at the Ronan center will be at 7 p.m. on June 21.
We've had several members out because of illness or injury, and we hope all of them a speedy recovery.
Several people have donated to the center in various ways, and we would like to thank all of them. Without them, it would be hard to keep the center open and running.
So far, for the month of June, we have scheduled:
Monday, June 3, at 10 a.m. is a board meeting; Thursday, June 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. is a Veteran's Representative and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. is a pork roast dinner;
Menu:
Friday, June 4 is soup and sandwiches; Monday, June 7 is meatloaf; Wednesday, June 9 is spaghetti; Thursday, June 10 is pork roast dinner.
Remember, we have Bingo on Monday and Friday following the noon meal, the pool table is always ready for use and there is always someone to sit and visit with.
We are still accepting aluminum cans to recycle, and they can be dropped off behind the center.
A word of advice: If it's electronic and you can't figure it out, just ask your grandkids to show you how.
Have a good week.

With Jo Durand: I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.
There will be a Medicaide benefit meeting here at the center on 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15.
There will be people who can answer your questions and will help you fill out any forms or insurance papers you might be having trouble with or not understand.
So, if you have some questions or doubts we'll see you here on June 15.
We are still looking for volunteer help to deliver lunches and possibly other driving duties.
If you have some time to give , give us a call here at the center at 883-4735.
