Havlovick signs
Head Montana State Track and Field Coach Dale Kennedy announced the signing of Polson senior Loni Havlovick.
She joins the Bobcats as a second generation thrower and will compete primarily in discus and shot put. Her father, Brian Havlovick, was a discus thrower at MSU and was coached by present coach Mike Carignan.
"She's exactly the kind of athlete we're looking for," Carignan said. "She has the right attitude and academics, and she comes in well-coached."
This year, she won the Class A Montana State discus event and placed second in the shot put. She placed second in the shot put and fourth in the discus at the 2009 Class A Montana State track and field meet.

Larson named to
second team
Former Ronan softball standout Kaylee Larson was selected as a second team all-conference shortstop at Wenatchee Valley Community College in Wenatchee, Wash.
Larson, the starting shortstop for the Knights, helped her team to a 23-5 record in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Eastern Region and a 37-8 mark overall. Wenatchee's 27-4 start to the season was the program's best in its 30-year history.
The Knights have won the Eastern Region crown the last four years and earned the top seed at this weekend's postseason tournament in Portland, Ore., scheduled to begin Friday.
Larson is a former all-state pitcher for the Maidens.

Editor's note
The Lake County Leader is looking for all sporting events that are happening this summer. Whether it's baseball, softball, soccer or otherwise, we want to know about it. If you have schedules and rosters, that will help as well.
We are also looking for results from teams traveling to tournaments.
Please send us the details at sports@leaderadvertiser.com. We appreciate your submissions.
