Team Roping Championships
rescheduled
The Wrangler Team Roping Championships that was to take place at the Polson Fairgrounds was postponed until July 17 and 18, due to the rainy weather and poor arena conditions

Ronan finishes
undefeated
Over 25 varsity and junior varsity teams, girls and boys, participated in the Mission Valley Cage Tournament in Ronan last weekend.
Ronan's high school varsity boys' team finished 5-0 with wins over Glacier High School (Kalispell), Browning, Stevensville, Florence and Twin Bridges. Polson's varsity boys' team finished 1-4 with a win over St. Ignatius.
Ronan varsity girls finished 2-3 with wins over Plains and Darby. Polson varsity girls lost to Bigfork and Florence with both losses coming in overtime. St. Ignatius did not have a girls' team entered. The St. Ignatius boys finished 1-4 with a win over Darby.
Charlo did not have teams entered.
This was the 17th year of the tournament. Teams came from all over western Montana and also Browning, Heart Butte and Twin Bridges.
Proceeds from the tournament go to the Ronan high school basketball programs.

The Pitch, Putt, and Drive Competition is held each year at the end of Junior Camp Week at Polson Bay Golf Course, followed by a family potluck BBQ. Junior Camp is free to all kids entering first through eighth grades in the fall.
