Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place March 24.

-State of Montana vs. Nathan L. Fisher; 23. The matter before the Court is omnibus hearing. Omnibus hearing conducted. Jury trial is set for May 3 at 9 a.m. Status conference is set for April 14 at 9 a.m. Attorney Steve Eschenbacher is requesting a reduction in bond to $5,000. State objects. Request denied.

-State of Montana vs. James W. Ross; 23. The matter before the Court is sentencing. PSI has been received and reviewed. For the offense of theft, a felony, Count I, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for eight years, with all of that time suspended, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Count II, the Court sentences the Defendant to the LCJ for six months, with all that time suspended to run consecutive to Count I. County attorney Mitchell Young indicates that the Defendant waived extradition so he will remain in custody of the LCSO. The Court orders the State of Washington is to be contacted to extradite the Defendant.

-State of Montana vs. Steven Rodriguez; 39. The matter before the Court is to answer amended petition to revoke. Defendant ready to answer the allegations in the addendum to the report of violations dated January 15, 2009. The Court finds the State provided sufficient evidence to support the petition and revokes the Defendant's suspended sentence. Ready for sentencing. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the MSP for three years and would recommend Defendant be considered for placement in the WATCh program before released. The Defendant is credited for time served in Missoula County and in the LCJ. If the Defendant is released or paroled before the three years, all previous conditions are to be re-imposed.

Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place March 24-25.

-State of Montana vs. Ricky Riebe; 49. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of tampering with witnesses and informants, a felony, Count I, and privacy in communications, a misdemeanor, Count II. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for April 28.

-State of Montana vs. Eneas Kenmille; 68. The matter before the Court is adjudicatory hearing. Attorney Noel Larrivee indicates the Defendant wishes to make one admission. Defendant is sworn. The Court finds the admission is sufficient and the Defendant's suspended sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for sentencing. The Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for five years with three years suspended. All original conditions are re-imposed. Defendant is to receive credit for time served while incarcerated.

-State of Montana vs. Susan Humphreys; 49. The matter before the Court is adjudicatory hearing. Attorney Steve Eschenbacher indicates the Defendant will be admitting some of the allegations today. Defendant is sworn. The Court finds the Defendant's admissions are sufficient and the Defendant's suspended sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for sentencing. The Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for five years and joins with the recommendation of Passages and ARTEC. Defendant is to receive credit for time served while incarcerated. In the event the Defendant is conditionally released, the Court recommends the original conditions imposed be re-imposed.

-State of Montana vs. Doug Branson; 53. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of forgery, a felony, Count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for May 6 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Ghlee Blickenstaff; 22. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of assault with a weapon, a felony, Count I; partner or family member assault, first offense, a misdemeanor, Count II; and aggravated cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor, Count III. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for May 6 at 9 a.m.

Justice Court, Judge Wall presiding

*The following justice court proceedings took place March 19-25.

-Stinger, Kaden D.; 26. Issuing a bad check - misdemeanor. Fined $85 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended. Driving without driver's license in possession. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended. Operating without liability insurance in effect - second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with eight suspended. Provide proof of six months continuous insurance and jail waived.

-Kneeson, Cole J.; 23. Carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence (having a valid permit not a defense). Fined $85 and 180 days in jail with 167 suspended. Credited 13 days.

-Tryon, Eddie; 22. Reckless driving. Fined $200 and 90 days in jail with 90 suspended.

-Printz, Ronald J.; 67. Theft - first offense. Fined $100 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended.

-Crowder, Chance; 21. Reckless driving. Fined $250 and 90 days in jail with 90 suspended. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $150 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended. Fail to remain at accident scene where person is injured. Fined $250 and 365 days in jail with 365 suspended.

-Johnson, Joshua L.; 30. Unlawful hunt or fish during closed season - large game animal. Fined $300 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended.

-Winters, Nikolas R.; 20. Unlawful to hunt/attempt to hunt any game animal or game bird from roadway. Fined $100 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended.

-Green, Kenneth W.; 20. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 suspended. Provide proof of valid driver's license by 2/1/2010 and jail waived.

-Ackermann, Arlene M.; 45. Fail to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with eight suspended. Provide proof of insurance by 4/24/2010 and six months continuous coverage and jail waived.

-Danford, Samuel R.; 18. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $50. Operaitng with expired registration - failure to reregister. Fined $50.
