Today, it is so nice to look out at the mountains--and to be able to see them. Hopefully, the clear sky will stick around for a while.

We have been busy playing BINGO and shooting pool here at the center. Come on in and join us, greet some old friends and make some new ones.

The Veterns Rep will be here May 13 from 1 to 3 p.m., and our evening meal will be at 5 p.m. on the same day. We will be serving chicken this month. The senior commodities will be here May 18, and you can pick them up later that afternoon and on Wednesday and Friday. If you would like to recieve this service call the Council on Aging at 676-2367 to see if you qualify.

The next foot clinic will be here May 19 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. No appointment is needed.

Our birthday dinner for May will be on the last Friday of the month, May 28, at noon, and we will be closed on the following Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day. It's always nice to have a three day weekend.

Our menu for the following week is: Friday, May 7, salad bar, Monday, May 10, BBQ meatballs, Wednesday, May 12, taco soup; Thursday, May 13, chicken dinner at 5 p.m.; Friday, May 14, S & S pork.

Remember to recycle, volunteer and donate when ever you can. Your local senior centers and food pantrys can always use your help

And, words of wisdom from an 82 years young person: "I have learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one".

Have a great week, and don't forget Mothers day on Sunday, May 9.

With Jo Durand: A gentleman by the name of Ron Tjaden was in last week and brought us some information and registration forms for the 25th Annual Montana Senior Olympic Summer Games on June 10, 11, 12, and 13 in Kalispell. You have to be 50 years or older as of Dec. 31, 2010. If any of you are interested, please stop in here at the center and we'll give you the information. I know that there are some pretty healthy and fit Seniors out there, so give it some thought.

On Wednesday, April 28, we were entertained after lunch by Mrs. Nordberg's second grade class. They sang for us and performed a little musical play. Mrs. Grimshaw is the music director and as usual, did a wonderful job with the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed them and thank them very much.

Now for some card scores. The Bridge scores for April 27 had Bob Gorsuch first and Jack Rupe second. For April 30 bridge, we had Paul Doolittle first and Betty Schuba second. The Pinochle winners were Pete Daniels first and Bob Gorsuch second. Those getting Double Pinochles were Bob Gorsuch and Pete Daniels. Way to go guys!
