Spiritlife Conference 2010
On May 13-15 at the Arlee Community Center will be a Spiritlife Conference.
Event sessions are at 7 p.m., will be inspiring and life-changing through powerful teaching of the Word with passionate praise and worship.
Saturday morning sessions will give spiritual and practical applications for everyday life.

Masumola Club
meeting
The Masumola Club meeting will be held Thursday, May 13, at the Clubhouse. The social gathering begins at 5:45 p.m., potluck at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7 p.m.. The program will feature a presentation about a recent trip to China.
The clubhouse is located on Masumola Road. Turn onto Rocky Point off of US Highway 93 and after the 3-mile marker turn right onto Masumola Road.
Anyone in the community of Polson and the surrounding area is invited to attend this meeting as a guest or to join the club and enjoy friendship, meetings and interesting programs. The only requirement for new guests is to bring your own utensils and a dish to pass if you wish. For membership information contact Irene Marchello at 406-883-6184.
Clothesline Project
The Clothesline Project, an annual event sponsored by the CSKT Victim Assistance Program, DOVES (Domestic Violence Education & Services), and SAFE Harbor, will take place this year in conjunction with the Women-4-Wellness Health Fair on Thursday, May 13 at the Joe McDonald Activity Center on the SKC campus.
The CSKT Victim Assistance Program and DOVES are domestic violence victim advocacy organizations serving Lake County and the Flathead Reservation, and SAFE Harbor is the area's domestic violence shelter.
As a public display, The Clothesline Project documents the brutality and lethality of violence against women and children. Shirts are used as canvases for artistic and heartfelt expressions that depict both the pain and horror of abuse and violence in the lives of families. All shirts displayed have been made by residents of Lake County and the Flathead Reservation.
Shirts will be displayed in the Activity Center, and blank shirts and decorating mediums will be available for those who want to contribute to the ongoing collection.

Yellow Bay Cherry
Blossom Festival
The Yellow Bay Community Club will hold its seventh annual Cherry Blossom Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, at the Yellow Bay clubhouse on Highway 35 (mile marker 18).
The festival celebrates the Flathead cherry blossoms that bloom in May. Arts and crafts vendors will be selling home décor items, ladies apparel, woodworked items, furniture, toys, garden metal art, hand-crafted fishing nets, photography, African baskets and fair trade items, face-painting for the kids, jewelry, fine art, jams and jellies, needlework, Native American beadwork, baby items, and much more.
A hot beef sandwich lunch will be available for purchase, along with hot dogs and fixin's, and home-made sweet treats at the bake sale. Jukebox Journey will provide live music and there will be free door prizes and raffle opportunities to win special prizes. Free coffee all day.

Scholarship fundraiser
The "Scholarships for Women" fundraiser sponsored by PEO Sisterhood, Chapter CA will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 401 4th Ave. E. in Polson.
Next-to-new reusable items from Awesome Attics and Classy Closets include books, collectibles, dishes, furniture, hunting/camping gear, kitchenware, linens, antiques.
Ronan city library fundraiser
It's time for the 2nd Annual Starving Artist's Show and Ronan City Library Fund Raiser. Artists Tim Piedalue, Craig Dulmas, and Julie Moore will have drawings, photography, and paintings on display from noon until midnight Saturday May 15, at Willard's Bar in Ronan. Also on display will be chairs that have painted by local artists that will be auctioned off for the library later this summer.The "bookworm" will also be there. Learn how to send it to someone and raise money for the library at the same time. Postcards titled "librarians" will also be for sale. Last year at The 1st Annual Starving Artist's Show we sold postcards titled "empty bellies" and raised $250 for the local food bank. We hope to raise even more this year for the library. Please drop by anytime Saturday to enjoy some local art and support the library.
Honor pass car wash
The Ronan 7 and 8 grade honor pass students will be holding a carwash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at the Hanson and Granley parking lot in Ronan to raise money for their end of the year trips. For any information call Tom Anderson 261-7735.

Ed Jaeger Benefit
This Saturday, May 16, the Ed Jaeger Benefit Dinner, auction and Hot Rod Rodeo will be held at the Rollins Fire Hall (Hwy. 93, Milepost 87 1/2). Ed Jaeger owned Elmo Boat Repair and Chief Cliff Hot Rods and is battling cancer without the benefit of health insurance. Ed's wife, Leanor, is a long-time employee of M & S Meats. The event is sponsored by the Rollins Volunteer Fire Department and the Chief Cliff Fire District.
The benefit will feature a hamburger/hot-dog bbq with all the trimmings, a rodeo of antique automobiles and hot rods and will be followed by a silent and live auction. Auction items include a basketball signed by L.A. Laker's coach, Phil Jackson, as well as a flight over Flathead Lake. Doors open at noon; bbq is served at 2 p.m. and the auction begins at 3:30 p.m.

Piano recital
The piano students of Donna Wilson will present a free and open to the public recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 16 in the Ronan Performing Arts Center. The solos and duets on the program will feature works by Bach, Brahms, Debussy and Rachmaninoff among many others. Students range from early intermediate level to advanced.

The monthly meeting of Polson VFW 2986 and the Ladies Auxiliary will be at 7 p.m. on Monday May 17 at VFW Hall 423 Main St.

Arlee CDC meeting
The Arlee Community Development Corporation will be holding its annual meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 in the Arlee High School Business lab. Members will vote in new board members and hear about what the CDC has been doing over the past year and plans for the future. This meeting is open to the public. Community dance
There will be a community dance from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on May 19 at the Elks Club ballroom to the tunes by Heart by Heart. Bring your sweetie and join the fun.
Sack lunch seminar
John Espy PhD and Treasa Glinnwater MSW are offering free sack lunch seminars on mental health topics from noon to 1 p.m. on May 19. Dr.Espy's topic is "What Happens Inside the Brain of the Gifted Child, Part 2". The seminar will be held at the Polson Library Community Room. For more information, please call 883-2445.

Child Safety Seat Check-Up
Polson - Buckle Up Montana will have Technicians' available to provide onsite child safety seat inspections and education open from 10 a.m. to noon on May 20 at the Polson Fire Department. Installation will be reviewed for each child safety seat.
