*The following district court proceeding took place May 5.

-State of Montana vs. Wayne Blickenstaff; 21. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of aggravated assault, a felony, Count I; criminal endangerment, a felony, Count II; assault on a minor, a felony, Count III; and criminal destruction of or tampering with a communication device, a misdemeanor, Count IV. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for June 9 at 9 a.m.

*The following district court proceedings took place May 6.

-State of Montana vs. Lavonda Curley; 36. The matter before the Court is answer to petition to revoke. Attorney Ben Anciaux indicates that the Defendant will be making some admissions. The Court finds the State provided sufficient evidence to support the petition and revokes the Defendant's suspended sentence. Ready for sentencing. For the offense of issuing a bad check, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to MSP for five years with three years suspended to run consecutive to DC-00-19 and would recommend Defendant be considered for placement at the Elkhorn Treatment Center followed by pre-release and ISP. Previous conditions are re-imposed.

-State of Montana vs. Doug Branson; 53. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the lesser included offense of forgery, a misdemeanor. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. For the offense of forgery, the Court sentences the Defendant to the LCJ for six months, with all time suspended. The Defendant is fined $1,500 with all suspended but $250. The Defendant shall pay the mandatory surcharges of $50 and a court technology fee of $10.

-State of Montana vs. Justin Keeble; 28. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of partner family member assault, a misdemeanor, Count I, and criminal endangerment, a felony, Count II. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for July 22 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Comfort Trellis Bolen, Sr.; 32. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of threats and other improper influence in official and political matters, Count I, a felony, criminal endangerment, Count II, a felony, and partner or family member assault. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on June 3 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Kevin Davis; 46. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent, a felony, Count I, sexual assault, a felony, Count II, aggravated assault, felonies, Count III and Count IV, criminal endangerment, a felony, Count V, and partner family member assault, felonies, Count VI and Count VII. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on May 27 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Barbara McDonough; 21. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of attempt (tampering with or fabricating physical evidence), Count I, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs, Count II, felonies. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on June 3 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. James Afterbuffalo; 38. The matter before the Court is answer petition to revoke. Attorney Britt Cotter indicates that the Defendant will be making some admissions. The Court finds the State provided sufficient evidence to support the petition and revokes the Defendant's suspended sentence. Ready for sentencing. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for four years all suspended. Previous conditions are re-imposed.

-State of Montana vs. Sunny Pierce; 34. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. The State will dismiss case DC-10-64 without prejudice. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for June 10 at 9 a.m.

-Combs, Casey D.; 23. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 suspended. Provide proof of valid driver's license by May 17 and jail waived.

-O'Neill, Kieran J.; 25. Obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. Fined $200 and 180 days in jail with 180 suspended.

-Lehmann, Stephen D.; 43. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 10 days in jail with eight suspended. Fail to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - first offense. Fined $150.

-Morgan, Amy M.; 33. Disorderly conduct. Find $100 and 10 days in jail with 10 suspended.

-Kelly, Danielle M.; 26. Reckless driving. Fined $300 and 90 days in jail with 90 suspended.

-Lopez, Monique; 22. Disorderly conduct. Fined $100 and 10 days in jail with nine suspended. Credited one day.

-Musser, Barbara I.; 66. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $400 and 10 days in jail with 10 suspended.

-Johnson, Damon L.; 43. Reckless driving. Fined $350.

-Germann, William P.; 66. Fail to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with eight suspended. Provide proof of six months continuous insurance on October 12 and fine reduced to $285 and jail waived.

-Starkel, Jonalyn V.; 17. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.02 percent BAC under 21 years of age - first offense. Fined $350.

-Meyers, Lee C.; 60. Criminal mischief - misdemeanor. Fined $50.

-Dalke, Michell L.; 20. Possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 (over age 18) - first offense. Fined $100.

-Partida, Veronica; 25. Partner or family member assault - first offense. Fined $300 and 365 days in jail with 361 suspended.

-Blixter, Denise A.; 51. Selling or providing alcoholic beverages to person under 21 years. Fined $150.

-Mittag, Benjamin D.; 17. Driving under the influence of non-narcotic drugs - first offense. Fined $400.

CRIMESTOPPERS

In Polson, between 5/01/10 and 5/03/10 seven thefts had occurred inside of vehicles that were left unlocked. Any items of value were taken including in-dash stereos. An additional three vehicles were vandalized. The Polson Police Department is attempting to identify witnesses to this event.
