Orchard gathers post-season accolades
Jennifer Orchard, of Polson, has been chosen as one of Rocky Mountain College's senior athletes of the year. The winners of the Herb and Clara Klindt awards were announced during the school's annual athletic awards social. Orchard is a two-sport athlete for the Battlin' Bears, competing in both basketball and golf. Earlier in Missoula, Orchard helped the golf team secure its 12th straight appearance at the NAIA national championships.
She also won the Battlin' Bear Teammate award and the Most Inspirational award for the women's basketball team.
She won girls individual medalist honors at the 2004 state tournament, making her the 2004 Class A state golf champion that year and was also part of the 2005 Class A golf championship team.
