Class C State Track and Field round-up

The Charlo boys' team finished second at the State Class C Track and Field Meet in Great Falls this weekend. With 56 points, the Vikings sat 33 points out of first place. Arlee registered four points, coming from Kyle Felsman taking fourth in the high jump with a leap of 5-10.

On the girls' side, Charlo finished ninth with 22 1/3 points.

Highlights:

-Cody Nitschke took first in the 110 hurdle, second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.75. Stephen Delaney took sixth and fifth in each event, respectively.

-Charlo stood atop the podium for the 400 and 1600 relays.

-In the pole vault, Chance Firestone finished third after clearing 12-0. Chance Rosenbaum finished fifth after clearing 11-6

- Michael Smith took fourth in the 3,200 race with a time of 10:32.54, fifth in the 1600 with a time of 4:47.96

- Rosenbaum took sixth in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:06.1

-Schaelyn Fell took fourth in the 100 hurdles

-Jaris Kelley took second in the pole vault with a height of 9-0
